Kerry’s Technologies was created by me to provide software solutions for businesses both large and small. It is located in Burtonsville, MD. This business is my primary focus.

Project Highlights

• Project Manager II / Java Programmer October 3, 2022 – March 28, 2024 where the primary focus was providing reporting deliverables to the end client, Excel automation of the reporting functions and minor enhancements and bug fixes for a Java 8 internal website for the end client Lumen located in Broomfield, Colorado. Kelly Micthell was the primary contractor on the project.
• Programmer May 27, 2022 – July 29, 2022 for the end client Boston Mass Mutual Health in Boston, MA in concert with the primary contractor Robert Half. The primary task was to convert sixty-eight 32 bit Access Databases from 32 bits to Office 365 (2016) to 64 bits.
• Programmer January 11, 2022 to April 1, 2022 for the end client PSC Transportation Services at HHS, Bethesda, MD. The primary contractor for the project was Starry Associates in Annapolis, MD. The sub contractor on the project was AgenSys Corporation McKinny, TX. The goal of the project was to provide PSC with an internal website for documenting employee commuting and other expenses. The website was a .net MVC application based on C# and Microsoft SQL. The development environment was Visual Studio 2022 and Azure. I also maintained the Help system documentation based on HelpNDoc 7.0.
• Excel Automation Engineer April 12, 2021 – November 5, 2021 The primary task was to review and redesign the existing spreadsheets which calculated the payments due for each artist utilizing VBA code, macros and formulas. The spreadsheets interfaced with SAP. The primary contractor was Robert Half.
• Senior Developer May 15, 2020 – April 11, 2021 working with various Keg Solutions clients doing laptop and desktop repair as well as Kerry’s Technologies clients with the goal of improving their WordPress website.
• Documentation Engineer September 7, 2019 – May 15, 2020 working with Kerry’s Technologies’ client in Columbia, MD with the task being to create system documentation for upper-level management of a service company that was a merged company of four different companies in order to recommend a single SAP system for the merged company to process orders which would eliminate swivel-chair data into the other three systems and other duties as assigned.
• Senior Engineer January 1, 2019 to September 6, 2019 working with Kerry’s Technologies’ clients to update websites and Keg Solution’s clients doing desktop and laptop repair.
• Word VBA Programmer July 2017 – October 2017 worked with Tech Perm in Annapolis, MD the sub-contractor to Social Security. The task was to convert a Word documentation system to XML system.

Enterprise Business Solutions was a women-owned small business located in Burke, VA and was a sub-contractor to the Maryland Department of Transportation.

I was responsible for onsite project management, documentation, installation, support questions and software code changes of a legacy Access (started as 2.0 – ended as 2016), Forecasting and Project Management System for Capitol Planning and Programming of MDOT including the following Modes: MVA, MDTA, MAA, MTA, MPA, SHA and WMAT in a mixed environment of Windows7, Windows 10, Oracle, Office 2007, Office 2010, 2013 and Office 365 on diverse mode dependent PC Platforms.

Highlights

• Maintained the application and a help desk on CPMS (Capital Programming Management System a legacy Microsoft Access application)
• User Interface design and modification of CPMS
• Revised the operation of CPMS to comply with every changing business rules of each MDOT mode
• Troubleshooting and version control of the nine systems that composed CPMS
• Documentation of the CPMS System
• User Training
• Migration from Access 97 to 2010 to Office 365
• Responsible for all contract deliverable which included the CTP (Consolidated Transportation Plan) which is produced twice a year for the Annapolis Legislature and is over 600 pages

I was hired by EBS as a Help Desk Technician for SAMHSA to support 600 users by maintaining all the SAMHSA owned equipment form copiers to laptops including setting up audio-video conferences. I was quickly promoted to Project Manager and was responsible for all the contract deliverables including the Work Activity Report. 

I was moved by EBS to the MDOT contract on an emergency basis when the Senior Developer retired in November which saved the contract for MDOT.

KEG Solutions was created by me to provide hardware and IT services to businesses and individuals as a means to reinvent myself after Big Fish did not survive the economic down-turn of 2010. While my primary focus now is software services with Kerry’s Technologies I still do work for friends and family and old clients.

Highlights

• Handled projects from different retail clients, such as: My Coffee News, Miles of Healing, R.A. Miles, and Liberty Grove United Methodist Church in Burtonsville, Maryland creating websites in both Dreamweaver and WordPress
• Crystal Report Writing and SQL Queries
• Computer PC and Laptop Repair, Maintenace, and software installation.

Big Fish was a women-owned business and manufacture of framed Artwork and furniture accessories located in Linthicum, MD. I was in charge of all maters technical in the day-to-day operation of the factory.

Highlights

• Met with upper management and department heads as well as sales, data entry and production personnel to develop a CRM and ERP system from scratch using MS Office (Access, Outlook, and Word to produce framed Artwork for customers such as Bassett, Ruby Tuesday, and Walmart at little or no additional cost to the company. This work resulted in the Work Ticket System which was an Access 97 application and was integrated with the production equipment on the factory floor and capable of producing more than 15,000 pieces of framed artwork.
• Designed System to interface with Peachtree, Corvallis Point of Sale System. This allowed Big Fish to sell from the show floor and deliver on time all the products ordered.
• Worked extensively with Data Entry to create the forms and reports needed for all departments to improve and enhance workflow from administration to factory floor. Sage ERP helped to keep materials flowing. Did Electronic Data Exchange with Bassett.
• Refinements, enhancements, support, and maintenance eventually upgrading the Work Ticket system to Access 2003 on Windows 2003 R2 server.
• Collaborated with two graphic designers to create the company catalog of more than 15,000 pieces of artwork using Photoshop and In-Design twice a year
• Found a way to interface MAC and PC files into one library on the MS 2003 R2 server.
