Here is the result of a 2018 volunteer project to get permission to erect a roadside community sign for Fulton, MD that captures the nature of the rural community.
The shape is meant to symbolize a oxen yoke that may have been used to plow the fields to plant wheat which is represented by the gold accents on the black background. My Photoshop design was used to spray on the coating to the metal surface and give a 3-D appearance.
The scroll woodwork is representative of the period as from my research looking at other signs on the internet. Duff Signs fabricated the sign from my design and put in place during May 2018.
